In olden days, the aged persons of the Community used to search suitable matches for their children. In present scenario, the declining sex ratio, more girls getting educated as compared to boys and the preference of girls for boys settled in citiesare the factors creating an imbalance in arranging marriages. Globalization, higher education and changing lifestyle has brought changes in attitude also. Families are now open to idea of youngsters finding out life partner of their own choice. On the other hand, with the demand on time in pursuit of career, youth today find it difficult to locate a partner of their choice.

BJS devoted its attention on this social concern and after great deliberation came up with an unique solution in the form of Matrimonial Meet (Parichay Sammelan)as the answer to many of these problems.

It blends in it all the traditional advantages, such as authenticity and trust, larger community help line and a ready made database which is checked and authenticated. It provides a ready made platform for prospective brides and grooms to find their life partners, thus simplifying the process of the most important decision of one's life, i.e. marriage. • ParichaySammelan for Educated or Graduate boys and girls – BA / BSc /BCom/ Diploma in Engg/ Diploma in Pharmacy/other vocational courses like Fashion Designing/ Interior Decoration & other such equivalent qualifications


• c. ParichaySammelan for Widow/Widower, Physically challenged and divorced candidates


Every year a no of such Matrimonial meets are arranged by BJS all over the country through its nation wide volunteer network eliciting huge favorable response.



Evolution of the program with demands of changing times

BJS founder Shri Shantilal Muttha recently proposed alternative ways of marriage fixing which are gradually gaining acceptance from the community. The alternative approach suggests that parents allow the young boys and girls to initiate the selection process for life partner. Boys and girls can select suitable candidates from their own community and parents can act as advisors and guide the youth aptly.

In the present times longevity of relationships has become significant and to ensure a strong and life long relationship there must be compatibility, similarity of thoughts and like-mindedness between the boy and girl. The candidates can only judge these factors themselves. Parents mostly give significance and attention to factors like family background, financial status, education and social goodwill etc. Candidates from across country can interact with each other, exchange thoughts and views and also spend time with each other to know each other better. It’s an activity based meet, where BJS conducts several activities during the program to help the candidates understand and know each other’s likes, dislikes, qualities, future plans, aspirations, talents and outlook towards life in a better way.
